Vintage sofas x 2

Busy working on two of these high back DA sofas for a customer. They have an interesting history, one of them being made in the utility period shown by the 'pacman' 41 mark. This means they were made during the rationing period somewhere between 1941 and 1951. Although the original fabric used was cheap hessian, the frame is good quality and was certainly built to last. A work in progress though and a very long job as the frames are metal with no where for those modern pesky staples. SO much hand stitching...........
